Statistics

At a recent council meeting, a member of the public enquired as to how many people used the website, so I thought I would provide some figures, along with an initial explanation to hopefully avoid reader confusion, so here goes.

Three sets of matching figures are provided, comprising the most recent, those from a couple of years ago and those for the first period for which your webmaster was responsible (prior figures were not available), as follows:

  1. The period in question, to enable comparison;
  2. The number of visitors to the site; and
  3. The number of page views
  1. Analysis of these sets of figures shows that:
  1. Many more people are now visiting the site, which is exactly what we want; however, if there is something you would like added, please contact the webmaster who may be able to oblige. Please click Webmaster
  2. The total number of page views has increased.

The top seven pages in order of popularity are relatively unchanged and the following indicates what most interests visitors to the website (which will include both village residents and external visitors); there has also recently been considerable interest in the Community Led Planning pages, which trend we hope will continue and grow.

Note: Tabs as referenced below are the eight page headings beginning with Home and moving right to Parish Council, Organisations, Notices, News, Events, LW Services and Statistics:

  1. Home (Page) Tab
  2. Parish Council Tab
  3. LW Services Tab
  4. Organisations Tab
  5. Events Calendar (On Home Page)
  6. Parish Council Meetings, Agendas and Minutes Pages
  7. Little Waldingfield History Society Pages (under Organisations Tab)
