With only a few days to go, and with only a handful of tickets sold, trustees have had to make the disappointing decision to cancel this event due to a lack of support.
Perhaps you were intending to buy a ticket at the last moment, but these events take time, effort and money (we have already purchased a drinks licence for example) to organise, so it is essential to know in advance how many will attend
This cancellation is particularly disheartening for trustees, who give up their free time to maintain and run the Parish Room for the benefit of the village, particularly when so many residents indicated on the Neighbourhood Plan survey that the Parish Room should be used more. Couple this with the fact that this event was planned as a low cost social event, rather than as a fund raising effort, the impact upon trustees is really discouraging; it should also be noted that we have asked for villager suggestions but have not received any response.
The Parish Room is a great resource for Little Waldingfield, but will only survive for the next 100 years if it is used by villagers, so its up to us all - use it or lose it.
